Founder: Ken Stone

New Direction Gospel Radio.

Ken Stone was born in Flint, Michigan. At the age of 9, his family relocated to Detroit, Michigan. Ken is a proud graduate of Barber Middle High School in Highland Park and graduated from Detroit Henry Ford High School. After graduation, he attended Schoolcraft Community College, where he played championship basketball. He went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Superior, where he became the program director of an urban program named "The Network". He transformed a small college radio station (WSSU) into a powerhouse that not only competed with but also surpassed local commercial stations in ratings. Through creative programming and training student volunteer DJs, the program's reputation had reached as far as Minneapolis and St.Paul.

Ken brings a lot of experience and creativity to the Gospel genre, and we are excited about where this station is going to move the needle in Gospel Radio. Ken truly believes the new movement in Gospel Radio is due, this wil be a movement that shakes the world.
